About BCSO

The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office is a diverse, accredited law enforcement agency staffed by members from various backgrounds. The BCSO, while not one of the largest police agencies in San Andreas, is responsible for patrolling the 4,752 square miles of Blaine County as well as any other jurisdictions when requested for mutual aid. Members fill a variety of roles in the BCSO including road patrol, jail/courtroom security, criminal investigations, aviation, administration, and other essential subunits that allow the agency to function efficiently. One of the most unique things about the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office is that several municipalities within our jurisdiction have no local police agency of their own, making it the responsibility of this agency to police these locales. Given the vast size of Blaine County, response times to incidents are typically longer than those of a city agency and deputies are expected to be able to function independently, because backup may be delayed or not available at all. All members of the BCSO are held to the highest standard of professionalism because they are representatives of Blaine County and the State of San Andreas. The primary goals of all persons employed by this agency are to serve and protect all persons within our jurisdiction.

​Blaine County Sheriff Department only hires 4-6 times per year, and of the hundreds of applications that are received each hiring period only an average of 10 candidates are selected and complete MVRP Regional Law Enforcement Academy. For a limited time however, MVRP is expediting the hiring process for candidates to give them the opportunity to join and experience our community in a quick and streamlined process, sometimes getting people into events the same day they apply.
