The S.A.L.E.A. was started as an effort to streamline all Law Enforcement training in MVRP. Cadets will go through a 2-phase training process covering some of the scenarios they might come across in San Andreas. The Academy also covers some of the basic law you'll be tasked with enforcing, i.e. domestic violence, traffic law and firearms. You will also get the opportunity to drive fast police cars through our EVOC course and shoot big guns in our firearms training.
While going through the Academy process you will work and communicate closely with your Academy instructor to ensure that your training curriculum is completed in a timely manner. This training curriculum includes:
PHASE 1
Classroom portion
Emergency Vehicle Operation Course
Firearms Qualification
Taser Training
Handheld Radio installation and training.
Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) setup and training.
Phase 1 covers basic but crucial trainings and implementations needed to patrol within our community.
PHASE 2
Scenario Based Training
Two 911 calls
Two Traffic Stops
Phase 2 plunges cadets straight into scenarios where they will be graded and critiqued on their abilities to properly roleplay and execute critical thinking. Cadets are not always expected to pass or get a high grade, however you are always expected to roleplay professionally and properly. If you want to act as a cop, do it right. Immaturity, or horse play will not be tolerated.
